The
Toy Library, a Place for Kids is a safe, fun and friendly community for children
and their families. We welcome you and your family to come play, be yourselves
and learn in the process. We are located in Lewiston and service Androscoggin
County and the surrounding communities. Our organization is community-oriented
and we recognize the importance of families and community working together to
promote self esteem and encourage positive play for children. Parents and caregivers
get together to share in advice and create new friendships. Our goal is to continually
change with the needs of our community. It is vital for us to have feedback from
our members and visitors to keep the Toy Library alive and well. Our unique
space is over 6,000 sq. ft. on 2 floors. The gymnasium, in the upper level,
is perfect for tricycles, big wheels, running and dancing. The Time Out Café is
the spot for snacks. The lower level is jam packed with toys and separated
into play stations. This big play area includes a library corner, kitchenette,
mini-slide and gym mat, a dress up corner, musical instruments and much more!
One of the biggest attractions for the kids is the large sandbox and ball pit
all painted with a worldly motif. We are dedicated to keeping The Toy Library
affordable. It is only $2 per child, while babies under 1 year and adults are
free. Memberships are the best cost saving options while scholarships are available
to those who need it. Click on the Membership Cloud to find out more. Here
is some good news! In September, a new Calendar program launched, to further
serve our members. The calendar of events offers activities twice a week in arts,
music, movement and cooking, in addition to the puppet show once a month. Come
meet Jack and his friend the first Thursday of every month. These activities are
included in the entry fee and memberships. Check out the calendar by clicking
the Calendar Cloud. |
