The Peek-A-Boo Family Puppet show plays the 2nd and 4th Thursday
of every month at 9:30 am.
New shows are presented each month.
Our objective is to bring joy to the children as we present
a teaching, a moral or simple appreciation of family and friends.
Our intentions are to make the puppets as lifelike as possible
so that we may touch every little heart with our simple presentations.
The Cast:
Grammy's name is Mary and she loves to have the puppets at
her house to help her bake goodies.
Grampy has proven to be quite humorous and is always ready
for a nap.
Clunky is a little girl who happens to be Grammy and Grampy's
granddaughter. She has known Jack for a long time as they
are neighbors and they are "bestest" of friends. She sometimes
gets very upset, but most of the time she brings balance to
the show.
Jack, on the other hand, is a little boy with red hair who
loves fishing. He is as mischievous as he is cute. The children
love him and cannot wait to see what trouble he will get into
from month to month.
Mikey is a little boy who is Jack's age and is new to the
show. He is African American and recently moved in the neighborhood.
Jack and Clunky quickly became his friends and they attend
the same pre-school.
Lucy is an adorable 3-year-old little girl with black hair.
She is Jack's little cousin and is too little to attend school.
She likes to pester him by following him wherever he goes.
Jack loves Lucy, but doesn't always want her around because
she is a girl.
Puppy is periodically brought on the set as Jack's little
dog.
Mr. Wilson is a backyard neighbor. He was a lonely older
man who lived alone and had no friends until he met the puppets.
Now they are all friends. He comes on the set periodically,
but not as a regular.
Miss Colleen is our narrator. We are very fortunate to have
her in the show. She is a professional actor that has come
forward and offered her services. She has recently directed
a successful production of Godspell. Colleen is the mother
of a little girl named Kyla who regularly attends the show
with her dad.
Miss Heidi is always ready for the children during circle
time. Here they dance and act out their favorite songs. Heidi
will sometimes read a story or sing with the kids during snack
time.
Samantha, nicknamed Sam, is a little girl who comes from
a difficult background. She was not taught her manners. The
rest of the crew tries to teach her some etiquette. It is
quite funny as she has no idea and fights it with all she’s
got.
